Legian Beach Festival 2009 (LBF 2009)

We are delighted to announce that the Legian Beach Cultural Festival will take place again this year, from August 7 - August 11.  It is the third occurrence for this annual event, and promises to be the biggest and best yet, with dancers, artists, and tourism officials on hand to answer your questions about many of the un-spoilt genuine destinations around the archipelago.

There will be cultural performances, art exhibitions, traditional music all on the large beach stage at Jalan Padma, Legian.  Also, don't miss the various sporting contests and the chance to participate in events, such as a chess competition and sunset fun walk.  Registration is on the first day of the event, August 7th, at the beach promenade near Jalan Padma.

Below is the planned schedule for the 5-day event for your easy reference:

Opening ceremony by “Bupati Badung” (Mayor of Badung Regency). Collaboration dancers from :

The third annual Legian Beach Festival, which celebrates art and culture from all across Indonesia will be held from August 7th through August 11th, 2009. This popular event takes place at the beach in Legian, between Jalan Melasti and Jalan Padma. Legian Beach Festival is an outstanding opportunity to learn about and witness the music, arts, handicrafts and dances from a wide variety of places across the Indonesia archipelago. There will be daily live performances on the main stage set on the beach. Representatives from participating provinces across Indonesia with their various cultures will be on hand at the many stands to answer questions and deliver brochures about the attractions of their respective homelands.
